The commonly used asphalt recycling equipment mainly includes on-site hot recycling equipment, plant mixed hot recycling equipment, on-site cold recycling equipment, and plant mixed cold recycling equipment.

1. On site thermal regeneration equipment

The on-site thermal regeneration equipment is also known as the "on-site regeneration train". It mainly consists of an infrared heater or diesel preheater, an asphalt pavement milling machine, a forced dual horizontal axis continuous mixer, an asphalt mixture paver, an asphalt tank, an aggregate bin, a new asphalt mixture receiving hopper, a traction head, a walking system, and a control system. The working process is as follows: first, use an infrared heater or diesel preheater to heat the asphalt pavement to soften it; Use an asphalt pavement milling machine to mill the heated asphalt pavement and collect it into a forced dual horizontal axis continuous mixer; Add new aggregates and new asphalt (for the bottom layer) or add new asphalt mixture and new asphalt (for the surface layer), mix and transport them to the asphalt mixture paver for paving, vibrating, and ironing; Finally, use a roller to compact the road surface into shape.

2. Plant mixed hot regeneration equipment

The so-called "plant mixed hot regeneration equipment" refers to the heating of recycled materials completed in a specialized drying cylinder. This equipment is also used in conjunction with the forced intermittent asphalt mixture mixing equipment. It mainly consists of a recycling material supply system, an lifting system, a drying system, a heat recovery material storage bin, a heat recovery material weighing hopper, a harmful gas absorption pipeline, and a control system. The working process of this equipment is as follows: when the asphalt mixture mixing equipment starts working, the recycled material supply system starts feeding, the lifting system starts lifting, the drying system starts heating the recycled material, and the heated recycled material is stored in the hot recycled material storage bin. When it is necessary to add recycled materials, the discharge door of the heat recovery material storage bin opens, and the heat recovery material enters the heat recovery material weighing hopper for weighing. When the required quantity is reached, the discharge door of the heat recovery material storage bin is closed, and the discharge door of the heat recovery material weighing hopper is opened to discharge the material into the mixer. One mixing cycle is completed. The gas absorption pipeline is installed at the top of the heat recovery material storage bin to absorb harmful gases discharged from the heated heat recovery material in the heat recovery material storage bin. Like factory mixed cold recycling equipment, if the recycled material is in large blocks, block extrusion equipment can also be equipped. It can compress large blocks of recycled material into small pieces without damaging the overall size of the aggregate. This type of plant mixed hot regeneration equipment can add up to 70% of cold recycled materials.

3. On site cold regeneration equipment

This equipment mainly consists of asphalt pavement milling device, emulsified asphalt spraying device, spiral material distribution device, ironing device, walking system and control system, etc. The working process is as the equipment moves, the milling device mills and crushes the old road, the spraying device sprays emulsified asphalt according to the ratio requirements, and at the same time, the milling device evenly mixes various materials. The materials are evenly distributed within the paving width range through the distribution screw, and then ironed by the ironing device. Finally, the road surface is compacted and formed using a roller. For low-grade highways, especially rural roads, this type of pavement is the final pavement; For high-grade highways, this type of pavement can serve as the base layer for high-grade highways.

4. Plant mixed cold regeneration equipment

Plant mixed cold regeneration equipment refers to the heating of recycled materials completed in a mixer. This equipment is used in conjunction with the forced intermittent asphalt mixture mixing equipment, mainly consisting of a recycled material supply system, lifting system, belt scale weighing system, harmful gas absorption pipeline, and control system. According to the requirements of the mixing process of the mixing equipment, when it is necessary to add recycled materials, the entire regeneration equipment operates, the supply device supplies materials, the lifting device is lifted, the belt scale is weighed, and then people are added to the mixer. When the required quantity is reached, the entire regeneration equipment stops running (except for the lifting system) and one mixing cycle is completed. The gas absorption pipeline is used to absorb harmful gases generated when cold regenerated materials are combined with hot asphalt mixture in the mixer. If the recycled material is in large blocks, it can also be equipped with block extrusion equipment, which can squeeze the large blocks of recycled material into small pieces without damaging the overall size of the aggregate.
